Artificial Intelligence has the ability to completely transform mental health care by transforming monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment. AI provides creative answers to persistent problems in mental health care, from chatbots powered by AI that offer therapeutic assistance to sophisticated algorithms that identify early indicators of mental illnesses. But these developments also bring up important practical, ethical, and privacy issues.
