Abstract

India is a country of great poets and philosophers. The Sanskrit literature which is one of the oldest literatures of the world has given birth to a number of great poets and dramatists, artists, and philosophers who stunned the world by the virtue of their great works of eternal values. Aadi Guru Shankaracharya and Swami Vivekananda lived in this world for a very short period of time but contributed tremendous work of great creativity. In the same manner Toru Dutt, the great illustrious daughter of Bengal, amazed the whole world by her great works in English and French languages and that too within 21 years. In this short span of time she laid several milestone in English literature in both theme and technique, matter and manner.
