Abstract

The term "quest for identity" describes a man's existential battle to find purpose and significance in his existence. It is an inward quest for meaning, a look for one's origins, and an effort to express oneself. Someone who has lost their identity is extremely pitiful. His voice therefore turns into an alto in a chorus. The quest for identity has been extensively written about in post-colonial literature. These days, the main topic of modern women's fiction is the search for identity. The majority of Indian female authors have likewise concentrated on female themes and had female viewpoints on the world.
